This includes cadets from Edmonton, Fort Saskatchewan, Sherwood Park, Ardrossan, Josephburg, New Sarepta, and even Tofield!

I know that I'm going to be late or am not able to attend an event, what do I do?

Monday, September 12, 2011

When a cadet is going to be late or is unable to attend an event the cadet should do the following prior to the event:

  1. Make their senior cadet aware of the situation
  2. This ensures accurate attendance can be taken. Attendance is taken into consideration for promotions, summer camp applications and scholarship nominations.

If a cadet is in level 2 but didn't complete General Training Course (GTC) as a Level 1 do I HAVE to do that camp?

No. If a cadet did not complete the GTC summer camp as a level one they do not have to complete it to apply for more advanced courses. Once the cadet is eligible for a camp they do not need to complete any other camps before.

I'm a parent/guardian and would like to help out with the squadron. How can I do this?

    Thursday, December 8, 2011

We have a very active 12 RCACS Support Club, which consists of parents and other interested civilians. For more information about the Sponsoring Committee, please visit the 12 SSC section of our website.

Who runs the training for the squadron?

    Thursday, December 8, 2011

The squadron is run by a team of officers who are members of the CIC (Cadet Instructors Cadre), a special branch of the Canadian Forces Reserve. CIC officers are members of the CF Reserve who are trained specially for working with youth. Often times, these officers are themselves former members of the regular army, or past cadets. In addition, our squadron has several volunteers and civilian instructors who aid in the training and administration of the squadron. For more information on the staff please
